Pontious first discovered multimedia storytelling through studying at BCIT, where he came to enjoy the process immensely. He uses this form of storytelling to explore important issues through visuals and in depth reporting. Through investigative journalism, infographics, and other media, he aims to inform and engage audiences.
The Goose Pod with Kevin Pontious is a weekly podcast exploring the issues that shape life in British Columbia. Episodes range from solo stories to in-depth interviews with experts, focusing on local topics like housing, addiction, politics, and more. Each episode offers thoughtful reporting for and about British Columbians.
Through a mix of investigative features, columns, and opinion pieces, Pontious explores how politics, drug policy, and mental health shape daily life in the province and across Canada. His work is rooted in curiosity, and a belief that journalism should help people make sense of a complicated world.
